Privacy statement on the protection of personal data for the CEB Award website

1. Description of the processing operation

CEB has an annual award on outstanding achievements on social development. Applicants submit their applications on a web platform. Personal data of the applicants is collected during the submission process.

The legal base for this processing operation is CEB’s legitimate interest.

2. Why do we collect, store and process your data?

We collect and process your personal information to communicate with you during the submission and evaluation process.

Collected personal data is treated according to CEB’s “Regulations on a system for the protection of personal data at the CEB” policy.

3. Who is responsible for the processing of your data? (Controller)

Your data is processed under the responsibility of the Council of Europe Deelopment Bank.

4. What personal information do we collect, for what purpose, and through which technical means?

In order to communicate with you, CEB collects your name, physical address, email address, country of residence and phone number(s). The data is inputted by you on a web form during the registration/submission process. The web form is hosted by Award Force which has its own privacy policy and terms of service on https://support.awardforce.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001314816-Privacy-Policy-and-Terms-of-Service.

5. Who has access to your information and to whom is it disclosed?

Your personal data will be saved and stored on Award Force website and will be used exclusively in the context of award nominations by CEB.

This information is only accessible to CEB staff members involved in the selection process.

This information is not disclosed to third parties.

6. How do we protect and safeguard your information?

Your personal data will be stored on Award Force IT infrastructure. Access to the platform by CEB staff is strictly controlled by personalised access credentials. Administrative measures include the obligation for CEB staff to have signed non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements.

7. How long do we keep your data?

Your personal data will be retained for one (1) year. After that period it will be automatically destroyed.

8. How can you verify, modify or delete your information?

You have the right to request the access to, modification and/or the deletion of your personal data, upon request and within reasonable time. Any request for access, modification and/or destruction of personal data should be directed to the e-mail cebaward@coebank.org with the subject: “Access to Personal Data” or by post to the Head of Strategic Development & Special Topics, Council of Europe Development Bank, 55 avenue Kléber, 75116 Paris.

9. Right of recourse

You have the right to have recourse to CEB’s Commission for the Protection of Personal Data (dataprotection@coebank.org) if you consider that your rights under the Regulations on a system for the protection of personal data at the CEB have been infringed as a result of the processing of your personal data.
